Campus Accessibilities
Introduction
The Center for Students with Disabilities offers a range of services to address various accessibility needs on campus. The Coordinator of Accessibility and Transportation serves as the primary point of contact for students regarding concerns related to facility and environmental access.
Wheelchair-friendly Building
- Wheelchair-Accessible Entrances: On campus, there is at least one accessible route available that enables wheelchair-using students to access each school facility's primary entrance without encountering stairs.
- Wheelchair-Accessible Facilities: Most campus facilities, including classrooms, study areas, the concert hall, sports facilities, dormitories and washrooms are wheelchair-accessible. This includes classrooms, libraries, conference halls, seminar rooms, and cafeterias.
Parking for Disabled Students
Disabled parking spaces are provided in every campus building for the convenience of students, faculty, and staff with disabilities. However, it's important to note that these parking privileges are reserved exclusively for the permit holder. To utilize a disabled parking space on campus, individuals must display a disabled parking permit along with a valid government-issued license.
Assistance for the Visually Impaired
- Braille signs, tactile maps, and audio guide devices are available for individuals with visual impairments
